Recently, some of our young people wrote down a personal ‘creed’ - a declaration of what they believe. They make for inspiring reading. Take a look…
“I believe in the Holy Trinity, The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit.
I believe that our Saviour, Jesus Christ, born of the Virgin Mary saved our souls from damnation.
That he is our rock, our place of safety in a storm.
I believe that Our Father in heaven is the creator of the universe, all powerful.
I believe that Satan, the temptress, has been defeated by the crucifixion and has no hold on me.
In the name of The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit I pray that you forgive me my sins as you forgive those of St Dismas and St Mary Magdalene as you died on the cross for me”
“I believe in God the Father
Almighty, all knowing, all loving.
Who out of choice, compassion and love has created us, in his image, his children to walk with him forever.
I believe in God our Father.
I believe in Christ the son.
I believe in the Holy Spirit.
For he did not want heaven without us.
So he sent his son Christ Jesus who by his life and death and a resurrection has given a free way to him.
In the name of Jesus, forever and ever amen”

He will never leave me in darkness.
He will guide me by his light.
He will bring me home through love and grace.

I believe in the resurrection, I believe that God sent his only son to die on the cross.
I believe that in our temptations and weaknesses you give us the power to believe.
I believe that you will rise again and that the gate of hell will no longer stand.
For you are my God always was, always will be.
Satan will finely be destroyed and there will be no more sin and pain.
You have never failed us”
“I believe that Jesus’s love never fails that he saved us on the cross. I believe the gates of hell shall fail and Jesus will rise again.
I believe in the Holy Trinity. I believe he is our lifelong foundation for our lives.
I believe he walks alongside us.
I believe he sent Jesus to save us and be with us”

I believe that God is a healer who has healed me and other people of their mental and physical torment.
I believe that he made us completely whole and perfect and that who we are is exactly who he meant us to be.
