Fusion 2020 - get your tickets now!

We’re part of a global family of churches called Regions Beyond and every two years we get the family together for Fusion - a weekend of passionate worship, inspiring teaching and the opportunity to deepen friendships and be there for one another’s success.

Fusion 2020 will be held at Norfolk Showground from Saturday 23rd to lunchtime on Tuesday 26th May, 2020. The Fusion 2020 website is now live, so keep an eye there for details and updates.

Tickets
All tickets must be booked online via Eventbrite. The earlier you buy, the cheaper it will be. Price increases will take effect from Tuesday 1st October 2019, Saturday 11th January 2020 and Wednesday 11th March 2020.

Serving discount
You can get money off by serving at Fusion in the following teams: children’s work, youth work, administration, stewarding, cafe and coffee shop, first aid, and site setup and take down.

Our arrangements
As in previous years, we’ll be taking a van down to help transport your tents etc, and hiring a marquee to have a covered, communal area on site.
There will not be a site-wide barbecue on the Sunday afternoon as in 2018, but we will be providing one main meal each day, in the late afternoon. This is a time for fun and friendship, and we hope to organise other activities as well as the meal.
We will also be providing hot water in the marquee throughout the day.
Our Durham and Chester-le-Street congregations will be together on the same pitch.
We will pay for all children and youth to attend. However, if you are unable to attend due to financial reasons, please speak to one of the elders.

Don’t miss out!
In the past these have been great times of fun, fellowship, hearing from God and growing in relationship with Him. Fusion 2020 will be no different and we hope that as many as can will join with us as we gather to Him. If you have any questions, please speak to one of the elders.

Angel Tree Mother's Day

Prison Fellowship in Durham, a Christian organisation, is enabling young female offenders at HMP Low Newton to each send a Mother's Day card and gift-voucher.

This can be a valuable step in helping to sustain or restore family relationships.

They need £6 per young offender to cover costs.

If you are able to contribute towards a gift voucher, please see Helen Hunter on Sunday morning or contact on (email: helenheaven11@gmail.com). Your involvement is really appreciated!

If you would like to find out more about Prison Fellowship and its work, or are interested in becoming a volunteer, please see Helen or check out the PF website: www.prisonfellowship.org.uk

ECFC Cup Final

Our football team Emmanuel Church FC contested the Memorial Cup final today.

It was a great performance by the lads, but unfortunately they lost 2-1 with a very late goal in extra time.

Having gone 1-0 down in the second half, the lads equalised through a great strike by Steven Ferguson, meaning after 90 minutes the score was 1-1.

It looked as though the match would go to penalties when NCLC United claimed the win with a scruffy goal from a corner.

But it's been a great season for the team, winning promotion back to the North East Christian Fellowship League Premier Division. Well done to everyone. And thanks to everyone who came along to support the lads.

And everyone is invited to the club's End of Season Awards at the Radison Blu Hotel in Durham on Saturday 4th June. For more information, see Ben Westerman.
