Lots of fun at the Christmas Family Service

It was a fun-packed hour as we enjoyed our Christmas Family Service on Sunday 17th December.

Pete and Ali Gray did a great job, supported by loads of people, so thanks everyone!

A special mention must go to the Car Parking team, for standing out in the torrential, wintry rain!

And also to Tracey Cooke, who baked this wonderful Christmas cake, which we cut before and enjoyed after the service.

Now looking forward to our Pop-Up Nativity on Christmas Eve!

Bacon, Brass Band and a bumper start to Christmas!

It was a packed weekend of Christmas fun and fundraising!

Our Christmas Family Fun Day was a fantastic success, and we've just heard that the Durham Christian Partnership stall raised £250 for their great work across County Durham.

Some of our young people, and youth leader Dan Baker, sell bacon sandwiches for good causes

That was followed by a bacon sandwich breakfast before church on Sunday, served for us by our young people, and raising money for good causes.

Finally, our Charity Brass Band Concert on Sunday night, featuring Aycliffe and Brancepeth Brass Band, was a fun and laughter-packed event, and raised £700 for the work if the If U Care Share Foundation.

Bring on next weekend's Christmas Family Service!

I wish it could be Christmas (Family Service) every day!

Wow! What a fantastic Christmas Family Service we enjoyed at Emmanuel Church Durham!

Thanks to Pete and Ali Gray and all their fantastic team. There were guitar-playing Santas, a stunning Christmas cake by Tracey Cooke, singing turkeys, rapping angels, a vertically-challenged donkey, a wise man and his not-so-wise servant, the biggest Christmas cracker you've ever seen, and much more!

And all because of the gift of Jesus, given to us by God, and celebrated at Christmas.

Here are a few videos and photos from the service. If you've got more, please share them with us!
