During our most recent Prayer Breakfast, Julianne Thompson received a word from God, which those attending acted out. Julianne takes up the story...
"During the prayer time I got a quick flash of a picture of a doorpost being anointed.
I felt it was important and looked up Godβs instructions for the Passover in Exodus 12:7. Also I think anointing doorposts and lintels is somewhere else in the Bible too and important, (I have done this before in my own homes and at the shop I worked in!)
This immediately led to word in Psalm 24:7: βLift up you heads, you gates, be lifted up you ancient doors that the King of Glory may come inβ.
I felt very stirred by the Spirit that we should physically do this anointing the doors of The Durham Centre to actually open them up and invite to ask the King of Glory to come in.
We actually did this opening up the doors and praying asking the King of Glory to come in, into every part, even the car parks, toilets, everywhere... that He would fill the whole place with His presence."
We meet for Prayer and Breakfast at The Durham Centre on the first Saturday of each month, from 9:00am to 10:30am. All are welcome.
