Women of Emmanuel: our Ladies’ Cheese and Wine evenings are a chance to get together (at the moment remotely)and hear about one woman’s faith journey.

Burn 24-7 is a movement of burning hearts all across the globe returning back to our first love, Jesus, and then taking his love to the nations. For over 10 years Burn 24-7 Durham has been gathering people on a monthly basis to unite around the Presence of God for extended hours of nonstop worship and prayer known as "Burns".

We are inviting people from across County Durham to passionately pursue and seek Jesus - because he is worthy! We fully expect to encounter Jesus as we draw near to him because he longs to dwell among and live in his people! We are believing that our families, communities, towns, cities and nation can be radically transformed by His lasting and sustaining Glory in our midst.

We loved having regular quiz nights during lockdown earlier in 2020. Now the Emmanuel Church Quiz is returning for a bumper Christmas edition, with seven rounds of questions on everything Christmassy.

Though our great friend Marc Dupont can’t visit us in Durham this year, we’re very pleased that Marc will be hosting an evening of teaching and prophecy via Zoom.

Marc is a gifted teacher, whose international ministry is often accompanied by miracles. He has visited us in Durham for several years now, and become a good friend of the church.

The Alpha course is a lovely, non-threatening way to explore the Christian faith and what it means to have a relationship with Jesus.

During each session we will watch a short, 30-minute video and then break in to groups to talk over the topics raised in the video.

Don't worry about coming with all the answers, there is no question too simple, complex or even too silly for the Alpha discussion, we want to create an opportunity for everyone to come and explore a relationship with Jesus.
